BGCNH’s Project Learn was recognized by Impact Genome for achieving a high 93% effectiveness rate at a minimal cost of $367 per outcome. The benchmark for the sector is an effectiveness rate of 84% – 90% with a cost of $1,425 – $2,319 for programs which, like BGCNH’s Project Learn, seek to improved attitudes towards school and motivational beliefs. Project Learn is a research-based program developed from the findings of Dr. Reginald Clark, which showed that students do much better in school when they spend their non-school hours engaged in fun, but academically beneficial, activities.
