“This is one of the best possible outcomes for the families who use those centers [at the Keene and Plymouth USNH campuses],” stated the Keene Sentinel’s recent editorial.

The center in Keene has been a pillar of Keene State’s Early Childhood Education program for decades. About 50 local children of faculty and community members benefit from early education and care at the center. College students pursuing careers in early childhood education, music, health science, psychology and nursing also benefit from the hands-on learning provided.

USNH’s press release highlights that they selected the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire (BGCNH) because of its track record at NH Technical Institute of providing mentoring opportunities in a school lab setting for college students training to be early childhood educators.

BGCNH hopes to continue working with all current staff and will serve the same age groups initially.
