Before/After School Programs & School Vacation Camps

Make Every Moment Count

Staff members plan fun-filled schedules incorporating everything from painting and playing games to cooking and community service. Structured activities are mixed with supervised recreation to ensure members enjoy down time as well as opportunities for learning and enrichment. Our caring counselors encourage even the shyest members to step outside their comfort zone.

Ages served

Our school age sites welcome children in grades K-4 (“Junior Program”) and grades 5-8 (“Senior Program”). High school students are invited to drop in to our main clubhouses in Concord, Laconia and Suncook after school.

Transportation, Hours, School Vacation

Transportation is provided from many local elementary and middle schools. The Club does not provide transportation home in the evenings. Most sites are open until 5:30 or 6 pm and are available for early release days and school breaks (starting at 7 am); all locations serve a snack and our main clubhouses serve dinner. Families are welcome to register for school vacations only.

Membership and Weekly Fees

We have a two-step registration process. In Step 1, you’ll fill out a membership application for your child and pay a $40 application fee. You only have to do this once per year. In Step 2, you’ll register your child for a program, such as the after school program, summer camp or afterhours art. You can register for as many programs as you wish. The weekly fee for the before and after school programs is $182.90 but members pay no more than $100 per week and often much less, depending on family income. School vacation weeks are an extra $40 on top of what your weekly fee is. For example, if your weekly fee is $80, you’ll be charged $120 for school vacation weeks.

Club Financial Assistance

We strongly encourage you to apply for a State of New Hampshire Child Care Scholarship– it’s there to help organizations like us stay in business without passing costs along to you! If you don’t qualify or are unable to apply for a State of NH Child Care Scholarship, the Boys & Girls Club offers a reduced fee based on family income. To apply for Club assistance, please follow instructions in the after school program enrollment application to upload proof of income. Documentation may include three most recent pay stubs, Social Security benefits, food stamps explanation of benefits, etc. Members will be charged the full fee until proof of income or State enrollment is confirmed.

State of New Hampshire Financial Assistance

We encourage you to see if the state of New Hampshire will help pay for the cost of camp! They have increased their income limits so that more families are covered! To find out more and apply, please visit this site. While you wait for the state scholarship decision, you’re welcome to enroll but must pay the full rate. Once any payments are received from the state and applied to your account, the credits can be used for future fees. If the credit balance exceeds $100 we would be happy to refund your credit card upon request. Please reach out to your site director if you need help with the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

We try our best to remain open without compromising the safety of staff and children. Should severe weather or other conditions (e.g. snow, storms, floods, earthquakes, blizzards, loss of power, and loss of water) prevent us from opening on time or at all, notification to the families will be announced on WMUR, via Facebook and Class Dojo App.

Payments are processed weekly on Fridays, by debit or credit card only.

We do not prorate weekly fees. Regular weekly payment is required when we are closed for a holiday, staff training, or for any reason outside of our control. For after-school programs located at the following sites: Christa McAuliffe, Warner, Hopkinton, Sutton, Andover, Holderness, Epsom Jr., Belmont Elementary, Pleasant Street, Woodland Heights, New London, Hill, Penacook Elementary, Plainfield, Pittsfield, and Newport weekly payment is required even if your child is not able to attend our program for any reason (i.e., illness, vacation, etc.). For afterschool programs at Bradley Street, Suncook, Lakes, Weare, and Epsom Senior Program, weekly payment is due when your child attends at least one day in a given week.

Most sites will allow you to sign up for school vacations only. Please reach out to the site director to find out how.
